Descriptions
The Golden Vest is an accommodating garment with multi functional purpose. An oversized fit allows for perfect layering in any season. A large integrated back pocket with access from the front, side, and back.
The name is taken from the Golden West Hotel.
The pockets and the multiple points of access relate back to the welcoming and accommodating space and rooms that the hotel created for African American railroad workers coming into the city as well as for the Black Community at large.
The oversized fit relates to the hotel's ability to be the main focus or a complimentary piece to the growing black owned small business in the area. The ground floor levels occupied several black owned businesses, which included a barbershop, an ice cream shop, a bar, and an athletic club. Black owned haberdashery, confectionary shop, and barbershop was established blocks away

Local pickup (Portland): Free pickup is available at our shop during open hours: Friday–Sunday | 11am–5pm. You’ll receive a confirmation when your order is ready.
